I look around at my life and find it hard to believe I'm an adult. Do I really look and think like all these people around me? I'm at a mini-conference right now full of people buzzing around with real jobs and responsibilities, and sometimes it's jarring when I re-realize that I'm a part of that world, too.
And that's my random thought of the day.
Oh, and last night we were back to potty training success. Here's to hoping it stays that way.
Someone asked me how old I was recently and I had to stop and think before replying 25. Which made me think - is this what 25 feels like? Is this what 30 will feel like? 40? Will I wake up one day, look in the mirror and suddenly realize that I'm not a college student any more?
ReplyDeleteIt's so weird, this getting older thing.
And YAY for potty training success. ;)
I feel the same way. I'm going to be 32 next week. 32!!! Gah!! I remember when even 25 seemed like you should be put out to pasture.
ReplyDeleteI still feel 16 inside though.
You are so right with this one.
Congrats on the potty training!!!
I think about this all the time, and actually have a post partially composed about it. I think that becoming a "grown up" never really happens, even though I keep waiting to feel different someday. I still feel the same as I did when I was 20, just now I have a couple kids...
