My oldest took donuts for his birthday at preschool- they actually weren't allowed to bring cupcakes- the teacher said it's too much icing, they never actually get eaten, and they make a mess.
I'm just impressed you're allowed to bring homemade cupcakes. We just toured FireGirl's preschool, and were told no homemade food. Only pre-packaged food allowed for parties, birthdays & such.
Eh, don't feel bad. I haven't taken anything for Kate on her birthdays. We have the same rule at our school as FireWife. Has to be pre-packaged so they can read the ingredients.
He was probably so excited!
