It's Not the Heat

I'm feeling slightly less crappy about my parenting skills now. It's nice and cool in the house, but Charlie is still refusing to sleep, so I'm chalking it up to something else. We had a pediatrician appointment for his diaper issue today and mentioned the new behavioral quirk, and at this point we're thinking it's just normal weird toddler behavior (normal weird - now that's an oxymoron if I ever saw one).

The tantrum of about 10 minutes ago was because there was a tissue in his crib. Oh, the humanity!

  1. Don't go for a toddler bed yet!! Colin was almost 2 and a half. Wait until he's crawling out of his crib before you go that route.

  2. Funny you mention that, Jill - after his next meltdown (over the sippy cup in the crib), I found him with one leg slug over the top of the crib rail. Another 5 minutes and he probably would have been out.

Trust me, I'm no more excited about it than you were!
