Friday Fragments

Friday Fragments is brought to you by Mrs4444!

Mommy's Idea

Finally got a Brobee picture! Of course I couldn't manage to get him to look at me or smile, let alone both, but this will have to do.

Last night I went to a FACEing session, where I learned about makeup and how to apply it. I've never been a girly-girl and I've never really had much talent with makeup. I blame most of that on my childhood BFF who spent the summer of 1993 torturing me with eyeliner.

It was super freaking fun, and now I can't wait to go shopping. Of course, I stayed out way too late (and I left before the others!) and now I'm paying for it. Good thing I know how to apply undereye concealer now. Too bad I don't actually have any yet. Oh well, good thing for Dunkin.

Because I stayed out too late and didn't get home until after 11, I missed The Office. I'm very disappointed in myself :(

I had a pomegranate tootsie pop yesterday. Did you even know they made those? It was pretty tasty, but reminded me more of cotton candy than pomegranate. The website tells me that they also now come in banana flavor and green apple flavor. I have zero interest in a banana flavored lollipop.

Mmmm, now I'm thinking of these.

Talk about the most underrated candy ever.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my job?

Countdown to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is at 14 days!!

  1. Okay, it's official. Once the craziness of the holidays are over, we have to get together.

    - Harry Potter, yes.
    - Caramel Apple lollies, yes.
    - Missed the makeup boat, yes!

I didn't buy my first real set of makeup until 2006 & it lasted me two years! I'm still really conservative with it (I've switched from a powder foundation to a tinted moisturizer & LOVE it), but it took me a long time to get used to!

  2. This FACEing thing sounds sweet, as a regular makeup wearer and junkie since the age of 13 I could still stand to take some lessons!!! How fun!!

We didn't get any good pictures of Davis in his cow or bee costume, why won't they ever look when you want them to?? and when they do look you are never ready? Toddlers!! I might sneak his costumes back on him this weekend and attempt some better pics.

Forgot about caramel apple lolliepops, yum! They were like the popular thing when I was in junior high (20 years ago) Yes, I said 20 years ago.

  3. My grandson has an issue with cameras too. Getting him to look and smile at the same time is a challenge.

I wouldn't worry so much about makeup. There are plenty of men who like the natural look.

I missed The Office this week too because of work. It's my favorite show.

And who doesn't love a lollipop, no matter how old you are.

  4. YODA! Dominic would love that.

I'm not a makeup girl either. Last time I wore it was my wedding almost seven years ago. I do have eyeliner that I put on occasionally. People don't recognize me with makeup on. :)

I stole two tootsie pops out of Dominic's bucket. I hid them so I can eat them. Bad mommy. :)

I like your pumpkin, so cool!

I need makeup lessons and makeup. I have been lazy about that.

  6. Didn't know about the Pomegranite tootsie pops, did know about the apple ones though.

I went to a make-up party once. Tried wearing make-up and nail polish for about a year and then gave up on it. Just wasn't for me. Made me feel fake and didn't want to take the time for it.

Stopping by from FF. Here's the link to mine: http://zemeks.blogspot.com/2010/11/8-things-i-learned-this-week-94-blog.html
